Whites Hill Shopping Village (extension), Camp Hill
During 2016, we completed the retail construction of an extension to the Whites Hill Shopping Village located on the corner of Thomas and Samuel streets in Camp Hill, Brisbane QLD. This commercial construction is one of Brisbane’s trendiest small retail shopping strips spanning approximately 4,000 sqm in size, over two levels including undercover car parking. This retail precinct welcomes a Jetts gym, delicious Banneton Bakery, the ever-popular Zambrero’s Mexican restaurant, Texas Bar & Grill, MySpace Real Estate agents and multiple other retail outlets.
The unique design of this centre allows an abundance of natural light to welcome all patrons, and an easy to navigate layout. The extra-wide walkways, tiled flooring, timber and tile hob seating, and planter boxes provide an aesthetic retail building construction layout. Access to the original existing shopping centre and outdoor carpark is smoothly integrated in the overall design of this extension.
This project has been a fun and exciting opportunity for VATI Projects’ director Vasilis Hatzioannou who was involved in the original shopping centre construction approximately 15 years ago. The original shopping centre includes a Woolworths, numerous specialty shops and offices, and an extensive open-air concrete carpark. “Undertaking this extension has been like watching my baby grow up, it’s a wonderful opportunity to be able to take your first construction and build upon it many years later to see it develop and modernise in this trendy retail precinct”.
